Where did the Pasco Blueberry Jamboree get its start?

In 2011, after her husband passed away, Brenda Short decided to create a festival that would commemorate her husband, Jerry, who was a well-known blueberry farmer in Pasco County. The original name for the jamboree was the Pasco Blueberry Jerry Jamboree.

The next year, Faith United Methodist Church, where Brenda attended, took over the administration for the blueberry jamboree. In large part because of the massive undertaking running an event of this size is.

For the first three years, the jamboree was held at the Concourse in front of Safety Town. The venue was then changed and it was held on the campus of Faith United Methodist Church on state road 52, and that is where it is held at present.

The years have seen many vendors, sponsors, and entertainers come and go, but the people of Pasco County have continued to support the only blueberry festival held in Pasco County. We hope you will continue to join us and allow us to reach out to the community around us.
